ImageSTOR Software Development Kit (SDK) enables software developers to access the ImageSTOR technology from their own custom GIS / CAD applications. It provides a simple interface for efficient reading, display and extraction of ImageSTOR catalog contents. All types of ImageSTOR databases are supported (file based, ODBC and ImageSTOR Server). Although SDK is designed to be used with C/C++ development environments (Microsoft Visual C++ is recommended), it can be used in any system that supports DLL function calling. Flexible interface also enables integration with other GIS software components (ex. ESRI’s MapObjects). Although interface is designed to be as simple as possible, some experience with Windows programming is required.

ActiveX Control

ImageSTOR ActiveX Control is a software component that enables you to easily add ImageSTOR display technology to your applications. Unlike ImageSTOR SDK which requires some programming experience, ActiveX control is easy to use: just add the control to your project (Microsoft Visual C++, Visual Basic, or any other development system), select the image catalog (you can invoke the ImageSTOR's Image Manager directly from Control Properties dialog box) and that's it - your application can be extended with ImageSTOR display technology in minutes. ImageSTOR ActiveX control provides all the features for efficient user interaction with image display (zoom, pan, scroll) - just connect your user interface with control methods and you can have extremely fast and flexible ImageSTOR viewer in no time. You also have all the other features present in SDK: memory access to image scanlines, image export, clipboard copy...

Both ImageSTOR SDK and ActiveX control use the same image access and display technology that is built into the ImageSTOR Professional / Viewer software, which features highly optimized access to any image region in any resolution, efficient caching mechanism and extremely fast display engine. Your GIS or CAD applications can now benefit from real-time access to even the largest spatial image databases.

ImageSTOR SDK and ActiveX control are available for free download. Your custom applications / projects that include ImageSTOR technology can also be distributed freely, without any royalties.
